What is regenerative medicine?
Regenerative medicine is the field of medicine focused on repairing, replacing or regenerating damaged cells, tissues and organs to restore normal function. Rather than only managing symptoms, it aims to support the body's own capacity to heal.
It brings together cell-based therapies (such as stem cells), biologics (peptides, growth factors and other signaling molecules), tissue engineering and immune-based treatments. At Arukah, regenerative tools are combined with integrative medicine – nutrition, ozone therapy, neural therapy and acupotomy – in a plan tailored to each patient.
Cell-based therapies & stem cells
Cell-based therapies use living cells – most often mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) – to help repair tissue and calm chronic inflammation. Stem cells can release signaling molecules that influence healing and immune activity, which is why they are studied for joint, autoimmune and degenerative conditions.
- Musculoskeletal pain, arthritis and sports injuries
- Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions
- Support within integrative plans for chronic disease
Dr. Robinson reviews your history and imaging to decide whether cell-based therapy is appropriate, which approach makes sense and how it can be combined with peptides, acupotomy or rehabilitation.
Immunotherapy
Immunotherapy refers to treatments that work by modulating the immune system – either strengthening its response against disease or calming it when it attacks the body's own tissues.
Within integrative cancer and autoimmune care at Arukah, Dr. Robinson may use immune vaccines (including autologous vaccines prepared from the patient's own biological samples) and molecular peptide therapies. These are offered as part of a broader plan and alongside – not instead of – care from your oncologist or specialist.
Wound healing
Regenerative wound healing aims to restart the repair process in wounds that heal slowly or not at all, such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores and post-surgical or radiation-damaged tissue.
Approaches studied in this area include cell-based therapies, growth factors and ozone therapy. Good wound outcomes also depend on blood-sugar control, circulation, nutrition and infection management – all part of an integrative plan.
Cardiovascular applications
Researchers are studying how stem cells and regenerative biologics might help repair heart muscle after a heart attack, improve blood flow in peripheral artery disease and support blood-vessel health. Most of this work is still in clinical trials.
At Arukah, cardiovascular health is addressed through integrative risk reduction – metabolic and inflammatory markers, nutrition and lifestyle – and Dr. Robinson will discuss frankly whether any regenerative option is appropriate for your situation.
Cosmetic & aesthetic medicine
Regenerative aesthetics uses the body's own repair signals to support skin quality, elasticity, hair and soft-tissue rejuvenation, rather than relying only on fillers or surgery.
Options are discussed based on your goals, skin and overall health, with realistic expectations about results and recovery.
Eye disorders
Regenerative medicine for the eye is an active area of research, including stem-cell-derived retinal cells for macular degeneration and limbal stem cell therapy for corneal damage. Some of these approaches are available only in clinical trials.
If you are living with an eye condition, Dr. Robinson can review your case, coordinate with your ophthalmologist and explain which options are realistic for you.
Dental applications
Regenerative dentistry focuses on rebuilding bone, gum and dental pulp tissue – for example, guided bone regeneration before implants or regenerative treatment of periodontal (gum) disease. Dental stem cells are also being studied for tooth and nerve repair.
Arukah can help you understand these options and coordinate with dental specialists as part of an integrative approach to oral and whole-body health.
Disease modeling
Disease modeling uses stem cells – including induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) made from a patient's own cells – to grow tissue in the lab that reproduces a disease. This helps scientists understand how conditions such as neurological, cardiac and autoimmune diseases develop.
This research is one reason regenerative medicine is moving toward personalized care. At Arukah, we follow this science to keep our protocols informed and individualized.
Drug discovery & testing
Stem-cell-derived tissues and organoids allow researchers to test how new medicines affect human cells before and during clinical trials, improving safety screening and helping find promising treatments faster.
Arukah is a clinical practice, not a research laboratory; we explain how these advances relate to the treatments available to you today.
