Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy (in Mexico, an Aviso de Privacidad) explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights. It applies to this website, our contact form, phone, WhatsApp and email communications, and the care we provide at our clinic.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The party responsible for your personal data is Arukah Integrative Health, the medical practice of Dr. Adrián Robinson, MD ("Arukah", "we", "us").

2. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to answer your questions and provide care:
- Contact details – your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, city and state, and preferred language, when you fill out our form, call, message or email us.
- Health information – the area of interest you select, the details you choose to share in your message, and the medical records, lab results, imaging and history you send us or provide during your consultation and treatment.
- Administrative information – appointment details, identification required for your clinical record, and billing and payment records.
- Website usage data – pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and referral source, collected through cookies and Google Analytics, plus standard server logs (such as IP address) kept for security.
Health information is considered sensitive personal data under Mexican law. We only process it with your express consent, which we ask for when you send it to us and in writing at the clinic before treatment. Please do not send medical information through the website form if you do not want us to use it to review your case.
3. How we use your information
We use your personal data for these primary purposes, which are necessary for the service you request:
- Answering your inquiry and scheduling consultations.
- Reviewing your case with Dr. Robinson and preparing a personalized treatment plan and cost estimate.
- Providing medical care, follow-up and continuity of care, and keeping your clinical record.
- Billing, payments and compliance with our legal and health-regulatory obligations.
We may also use your contact details for these secondary purposes, which you can refuse at any time without affecting your care: sending appointment reminders and educational information about our services, satisfaction surveys, and improving our website using aggregated analytics. To opt out, email info@arukahclinic.com.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only when needed for the purposes above:
- Laboratories, imaging centers, hospitals or specialists involved in your care, with your consent.
- Service providers that help us run the clinic and this website – such as website hosting, email, Google (Analytics and Search Console) and WhatsApp (Meta) – who may only use the data to provide their services to us.
- Health, tax or judicial authorities when required by law.
Some of these providers process data in the United States or other countries. When we transfer data outside Mexico, we do so as permitted by Mexican data protection law and require appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These tools collect information such as pages viewed and approximate location; they do not tell us your name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com.
6. How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not lead to a consultation are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then deleted. Clinical records are kept for the period required by Mexican health regulations (NOM-004-SSA3-2012 requires at least five years from the last medical service). Billing records are kept as required by tax law.
7. Your rights (ARCO rights)
You have the right to Access your personal data, Rectify it if it is inaccurate or incomplete, Cancel (delete) it when it is no longer needed, and Oppose its use for specific purposes. You may also revoke your consent or limit the use or disclosure of your data, subject to legal obligations such as keeping clinical records.
To make a request, email info@arukahclinic.com with your full name, contact details, a copy of an official ID (or proof of authority if you are a legal representative), and a clear description of your request. We will respond within the time frames set by Mexican law. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may contact the Mexican federal data protection authority.
8. Patients from California and the United States
Arukah is a medical practice located in Mexico, and the care we provide is governed by Mexican law, including Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. U.S. privacy laws such as HIPAA do not apply to our clinic, but we protect your health information with the safeguards described here. Wherever you live, you can use the rights in section 7, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. How we protect your information
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted (HTTPS) website connections, restricted access to clinical records and confidentiality obligations for our staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if you prefer, you can share medical records with us in person at the clinic.
10. Minors
This website is not intended for children under 18. Personal data of minors is only collected with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, for the purpose of providing care.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The current version will always be posted on this page with its "Last updated" date. A Spanish version is available as our Aviso de Privacidad.
